PHOTOCOAGULATORS
A photocoagulator is a surgical instrument containing a laser which is used to coagulate and seal leaky eye tissue to prevent seepage from a damaged macular or ruptured vessel. As well as being a less painful approach than other cauterizing methods, laser photocoagulation leaves behind less scar tissue which shortens recovery time.
