INTRAORAL SENSORS
An intraoral sensor is a small device comprising a sensor used in to take radiographic images of the mouth. The sensor records images and sends electrical signals via leads to a computer where they are converted to digital images that can be displayed on a monitor. Today, the sensors can provide sharp, clear images in real-time, while using only a fraction of the radiation of traditional film X-rays.
